The Crisis in Gaza & Bilad Al-Sham

Now, with the ceasefire in place, aid is finally reaching Gaza, bringing much-needed relief to families who have endured immense suffering but we don’t know how long this window will last.

We must act now before the situation changes.

The people of Gaza continue to face horrific levels of hunger, to the point that those who survived the bombing are now dying from starvation.

Since October 7, 2023, Gaza has experienced unbearable devastation:

🔹 Over 44,000 lives lost

🔹 More than 100,000 injured

🔹 87% of homes damaged or destroyed

🔹 80% of businesses wiped out

🔹 68% of cropland devastated

🔹1.95 million people in Gaza — 91% of the population — are facing acute food insecurity classified as IPC Phase 3 (Crisis) or worse.

🔹 876,000 are experiencing emergency levels (IPC Phase 4)

🔹 345,000 individuals are classified at catastrophic levels (IPC Phase 5)

At the same time, food security in Bilad Al-Sham & surrounding regions of Southern Turkey remains critical due to years of conflict and economic collapse.

🔹 12.9 million people in Bilad Al-Sham — over half the population — are food insecure.

🔹 3.1 million face severe food insecurity, with malnutrition reaching global emergency thresholds.

🔹 Over 100,000 children under the age of 5 are suffering from severe wasting due to malnutrition, putting them at high risk of death.

Kevser is on a mission to be the voice and hope of millions of people worldwide who are facing difficult circumstances and struggling to survive.
